Delta Startups was honored to witness the resounding success of the Niger Delta Youth Parliament’s Regional Youth Convergence on Internal Security and Digital Innovation. Held on late Jully 4th 2025, this landmark gathering united legislative assembly members, security experts, digital innovators, and hundreds of young change makers from across the Niger Delta to chart a roadmap for a safer, more prosperous Nigeria.
A Platform for Purposeful Collaboration

The convergence titled “Enhancing Youth Collaboration in Safeguarding Critical National Assets and Curbing Cybercrime through Digital Innovation: A Road Map for National Development” served as an incubator for ideas, partnerships, and action plans. Through keynote addresses, panel sessions, and roundtable discussions, participants explored how the region’s brightest minds can harness technology to tackle our most pressing security challenges.
“We are not here today to admire our potential. We are here to convert it into purposeful collaboration and meaningful national impact.”
— Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Speaker of the House of Representatives
Keynote Highlights

Ese Jibromah, Chief Operating Officer of Delta Startups, drove home the message that entrepreneurship is the strongest weapon against vice. As he put it: “The future does not belong to Fraudsters, it belongs to Founders.”
He then outlined his 5 P’s framework: Perception, People, Preparedness, Partnerships, Policies urging young leaders to build value deep ventures rather than chase get-rich-quick schemes.
Rt. Hon. Daniel Ifon, Speaker of the Niger Delta Youth Parliament, kicked off the event by redefining youth as active change makers rather than passive observers. He called on every young person to embrace ethical, purposeful innovation building solutions that protect our people and our data.
Hon. Igoin Peter Tokoni, Special Assistant to the President on ICT Development & Digital Innovation, shared milestones from his office including new cyber-crime centers in Bayelsa and beyond and urged attendees to align with the Renewed Hope Agenda, especially in AI, ICT development, and digital entrepreneurship.
Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen emphasized the vital role of our youth in guarding critical national assets. He championed greater youth involvement in policy making and security strategy, reminding us that digital responsibility is everyone’s duty.
Honoring a Champion of Youth Development

In a special ceremony, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen received the Public Service Legacy Award as a National Hero for his steadfast commitment to empowering young Nigerians. His pragmatic leadership has fueled countless initiatives that bridge the gap between today’s talent and tomorrow’s opportunities.
